Ros\u00e9 wines are kind of like the carnation of the wine world. Typically dismissed and ignored,\u00a0they don’t get as much acclaim as their red cousins, and in my opinion, this is pretty unfortunate. Like their flower counterpart, they deserve more. (All of the beautiful photos in this post were taken by Miss Megan<\/a>.)<\/p>\n

Light and fruity, ros\u00e9s\u00a0are the perfect\u00a0wine for bridging the gap between summer whites and heavy, winter-friendly\u00a0reds. I think\u00a0they’re pretty wonderful on\u00a0early fall days when the weather\u00a0is\u00a0still warm,\u00a0but you’re craving sweaters and pot roast. For September, I wanted to give you a list of a few\u00a0great ros\u00e9 wines,\u00a0so I recruited some close friends to sample some with me. I am by no means a wine expert, so I thought it would be best to seek help. I asked\u00a0everyone to bring\u00a0a bottle of ros\u00e9 for under $15 and promised to supply the food.\u00a0 I came up with a very scientific rating method, complete with glitter tags.\u00a0As the girls arrived, I\u00a0asked them to write the price of the wine and its rating on the back of the\u00a0tag.\u00a0Then, as we sampled, each girl marked the tag of the wine or wines they liked with a tally mark.<\/p>\n
