Deb&#8217;s recipes are always fantastic. Her attention to detail and quest to find the perfect\u00a0version of a meal\u00a0means that any time I cook her food I&#8217;m floored with the fantastic results.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.flickr.com\/photos\/misslaney\/8223139627\/\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/farm9.staticflickr.com\/8200\/8223139627_25fc23b3eb_n.jpg\" alt=\"spaghettisquashtacos\" width=\"320\" height=\"240\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>When I heard she was coming out with a cookbook, I waited and waited. And waited. It was released at the end of October this year, and\u00a0I snatched it up immediately.<\/p>\n<p>Let me start by saying, the photography is beautiful. The book is divided into seven sections: Breakfast; Sandwiches, Tarts, and Pizzas; The Main Dish: Vegetarian; The Main Dish: Seafood, Poultry, and Meat; Sweets; and Party Snacks and Drinks. I tried to make something from each, but missed a few.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.flickr.com\/photos\/misslaney\/8223141123\/\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/farm9.staticflickr.com\/8483\/8223141123_2659319ab7_n.jpg\" alt=\"kalesalad\" width=\"320\" height=\"240\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>I ended up made the following recipes:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Fingerlings Vinaigrette with Sieved Eggs and Pickled Celery<\/li>\n<li>Kale Salad with Cherries and Pecans<\/li>\n<li>Slow-Cooker Black Bean Ragout<\/li>\n<li>Spaghetti Squash and Black Bean Tacos with Queso Fresco<\/li>\n<li>Harvest Roast Chicken with Grapes, Olives and Rosemary<\/li>\n<li>Buttered Popcorn Cookies<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/smittenkitchen.com\/blog\/2009\/11\/salted-brown-butter-crispy-treats\/\" target=\"_blank\">Salted Brown Butter Crispy Treats<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>In particular, I liked the crispy treats, kale salad and bean ragout.<!--more--><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.flickr.com\/photos\/misslaney\/8223142587\/\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/farm9.staticflickr.com\/8204\/8223142587_a3afc33c3e_n.jpg\" alt=\"hardboiledegg\" width=\"320\" height=\"240\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>As much as I love her recipes, it&#8217;s always the inventive ideas that floor me. Here were my favorites:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Brown butter in rice crispy treats is addictive.\u00a0Her instructions also give you a great texture.<\/li>\n<li>In the fingerling\u00a0 potato salad, you sieve hard-boiled eggs. It creates creamy clouds of egg, which was a little tricky to do, but completely worth the effort. The dressing for that salad is also delicious.<\/li>\n<li>The combination of grapes and kalamata olives was new to me, and I loved it. I found myself taking a grape from the bunch and an olive out of the bowl and eating them while I made the harvest chicken\u00a0recipe.<\/li>\n<li>Oh! and she microwaves the spaghetti squash! Absolute genius. It takes no time and works perfectly.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.flickr.com\/photos\/misslaney\/8224220034\/\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/farm9.staticflickr.com\/8342\/8224220034_824629e955_n.jpg\" alt=\"beanragout\" width=\"320\" height=\"240\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>She has number of recipes in the cookbook that are on the blog. It&#8217;s <a href=\"http:\/\/www.amazon.com\/Nigella-Kitchen-Recipes-Heart-Home\/dp\/1401323952\/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&amp;qid=1354024412&amp;sr=8-1&amp;keywords=nigella%27s+kitchen\" target=\"_blank\"><em>Nigella Kitchen<\/em><\/a>.
