I think it kind of scared my husband.<\/p>\n<p>Two of the three projects turned out. This is a picture of the garland that did not. Feast your eyes. I think it may have had a few too many flutes of champagne. And if the person who made that &#8220;merry&#8221; disaster can make it, so can you.<\/p>\n<p><a title=\"wreath 001 (2) by missalaneyus, on Flickr\" href=\"http:\/\/www.flickr.com\/photos\/misslaney\/8264481041\/\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" alt=\"wreath 001 (2)\" src=\"http:\/\/farm9.staticflickr.com\/8057\/8264481041_73c1a8a487.jpg\" width=\"375\" height=\"500\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>The whole project cost around $15 and took me about an hour total, if you count the 30 minutes it took for\u00a0the spray paint to dry.<!--more--><\/p>\n<p>For this project, you&#8217;ll need metallic spray paint, a grapevine wreath, a wide ribbon with no wire and a skinny, unwired ribbon.<\/p>\n<p>Start by spray painting your wreath. Be sure to get the nooks and crannies, evenly coating it.<\/p>\n<p><a title=\"wreath 001 by missalaneyus, on Flickr\" href=\"http:\/\/www.flickr.com\/photos\/misslaney\/8265548484\/\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" alt=\"wreath 001\" src=\"http:\/\/farm9.staticflickr.com\/8067\/8265548484_74abb80e97.jpg\" width=\"500\" height=\"375\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p><a title=\"wreath 002 by missalaneyus, on Flickr\" href=\"http:\/\/www.flickr.com\/photos\/misslaney\/8264477711\/\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" alt=\"wreath 002\" src=\"http:\/\/farm9.staticflickr.com\/8347\/8264477711_42705e3884.jpg\" width=\"500\" height=\"375\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Then, after it&#8217;s dried, tie the wide ribbon on to the wreath. It doesn&#8217;t need to be perfect.<\/p>\n<p><a title=\"wreath 010 by missalaneyus, on Flickr\" href=\"http:\/\/www.flickr.com\/photos\/misslaney\/8264473743\/\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" alt=\"wreath 010\" src=\"http:\/\/farm9.staticflickr.com\/8497\/8264473743_306c036bbf.jpg\" width=\"500\" height=\"375\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>When you&#8217;ve made your way all the way around, untie your knot\u00a0and begin adjusting the ribbon, so it&#8217;s more evenly spaced. Now, tie the two ends together, and make a new knot. Take those ends and secure a second knot a few inches down. You&#8217;re basically making a giant loop for the wreath to hang from. Trim the ribbon.<\/p>\n<p><a title=\"wreath 012 by missalaneyus, on Flickr\" href=\"http:\/\/www.flickr.com\/photos\/misslaney\/8264470801\/\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" alt=\"wreath 012\" src=\"http:\/\/farm9.staticflickr.com\/8224\/8264470801_2253649c50.jpg\" width=\"500\" height=\"375\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Last, but not least. Start winding a thinner ribbon around the wreath in the opposite directions, so that you make pretty x&#8217;s all the way around. Tie both ends together and knot the ribbon.
