Nearly a year ago, I took a girls’ trip to Savannah. I’ve been meaning to tell you about it since then, but it kept getting pushed and now, it seems sort of silly to tell you about a trip that happened so long ago. But, it was so much fun, and I kept thinking, “What if you’re planning a trip and need this information?”. So, here we are. <\/p>\n

\"walking<\/a><\/p>\n

Dotted with picturesque squares and trees strung with Spanish moss, Savannah is a real charmer. Here’s a short list of my favorites things from our trip:<\/p>\n

1. We\u00a0stayed at\u00a0a Vacation Rental by Owner (VRBO)\u00a0situated next to Forsyth Park.\u00a0Staying in a\u00a0house\u00a0gave us spaces\u00a0perfect for lounging and chatting – perfect ingredients for a girls’ weekend. Out our door, we could get an\u00a0authentic taste of Savannah, as little girls practiced cheerleading and people of all ages did their morning run around the square.\u00a0The photo below is of the house we stayed in. Pretty, right?<\/p>\n

2. We had dinner at\u00a0the Olde Pink House<\/a>, and it was delicious. The actual building is supposedly haunted and really beautiful. They host weddings and events there and are more than happy to show you around between courses of your\u00a0meal.<\/p>\n

3. When we chose Savannah, Tybee Island<\/a> was one of the first things on our list. Getting there is pretty easy, but you will need to rent a car.<\/p>\n

4. While on Tybee Island, we had lunch at the Tybee Island Social Club Restaurant<\/a>. I still think about the halved avocado with crab meat appetizer, so simple and really fresh.\u00a0The tacos were delish too.<\/p>\n

5. We’d heard the Historic District had great shopping, so it was naturally one of the first places we stopped. They have the cutest shops and allow you to bring cocktails while you browse. A very dangerous combination\u00a0for your wallet, but a lot of fun. Some of my favorite stops were The Paris Market and Brocante and Red Clover (an inexpensive and really cool clothing store).<\/p>\n

6. The Savannah College of Art & Design<\/a> has a really cool shop featuring students’ art. Even if you can’t afford to pick something up, it’s fun to look around.<\/p>\n

7. After dinner one night, we hit up The Bohemian’s<\/a> rooftop bar. It was incredibly crowded, but had great live music and views of the city.<\/p>\n

8. Cha Bella<\/a> does really fresh food. Try their risotto if you stop by.<\/p>\n
