Every year, I take a look at the upcoming, fall T.V. schedule and make my picks. I choose a list of shows that we plan to watch – new and returning. Each year, it seems to get a little bit harder.<\/p>\n
Last year, we dropped a lot of shows, which means we’re kind of starting from scratch now. So, there are a lot of new programs we’ll be test-driving in the next few weeks.I’m excited about some of the new shows, but I’m the first to admit our schedule looks pretty empty on some nights. We may have to take up knitting to pass the time.<\/p>\n
Sunday:<\/strong><\/p>\n Madam Secretary, CBS, 7 PM CST, Premieres Sept. 21.\u00a0<\/em><\/p>\n Starring Tea Leoni as the Secretary of State, Madam Secretary looks smart and interesting. I’m hoping it’s both.<\/p>\n http:\/\/youtu.be\/cX-vZysWRVw<\/p>\n Downton Abbey, PBS, September 21<\/em><\/p>\n There’s little I like more than being whisked away into a period drama. Keegan has absolutely no interest in seeing what goes on at Downton Abbey, so I’ll be watching this one solo. I don’t mind a bit.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n Monday:<\/strong><\/p>\n Gotham, FOX, 7 PM CST, Starts Sept. 22<\/em><\/p>\n We’re suckers for superhero stories at our house, so I’m sure we’ll be watching Gotham. It’s the origin story of the police commissioner Jim Gordon – from the Batman series, and is supposed to show his investigation of the Wayne family murders. It also stars the dreamy O.C. alum Ben Mackenzie, so even if it isn’t good, at least there will be something nice to look at.<\/p>\n
