Last week, I was struck down with a monster virus, which is why I was absent from the blog. It was not pretty.<\/p>\n<p>But, I&#8217;m happy to report Sedona is very pretty. I mean look at her.\u00a0Gorgeous, right?<\/p>\n<p>Two weeks ago, I joined five friends for a long weekend in Sedona. It was my first time traveling to the Southwest, and I was immediately struck by how beautiful it is there. Today, I&#8217;m sharing some of my favorite things from the trip. <img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/farm6.staticflickr.com\/5755\/20957250596_26c2cb5610_z.jpg\" alt=\"girls-trip-sedona\" width=\"600\" height=\"338\" \/><script src=\"\/\/embedr.flickr.com\/assets\/client-code.js\" async=\"\" charset=\"utf-8\"><\/script><\/p>\n<p><strong>GO:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.pinkjeeptourssedona.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Pink Jeep Tour<\/a> &#8211; We did a Pink Jeep Tour our second evening in town. It is a fun way to see Sedona, and I would recommend it to anyone.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.sedonarouge.com\/the-spa\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Sedona Rouge Spa<\/a> &#8211; The girls who organized the trip set us up with appointments at the Sedona Rouge Spa. I chose a facial and shea butter wrap. They were both absolutely lovely. One of the great perks of choosing this spa over some of the other options was that they gave us access to the their pool.<\/p>\n<p><strong>EAT:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.elotecafe.com\/sedona-restaurant-dinner-menu.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Elote Cafe<\/a> &#8211; This place has some of the best Mexican food I&#8217;ve ever eaten. Wait times are really long, so know that in advance. However, I&#8217;d wait a hundred years for their elote (fire roasted corn with\u00a0spicy mayo, lime and cotija cheese). It&#8217;s that good.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.lauberge.com\/dining\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">L&#8217;Auberge Restaurant on Oak Creek <\/a>&#8211; I had heard this restaurant had great views, but I was pleasantly surprised when we arrived and were seated a few feet away from a creek. The menu is pricey, so I&#8217;d recommend checking it out for brunch or lunch. Don&#8217;t miss the burrata or the cocktails.<\/p>\n<p><strong>STAY:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.vrbo.com\/205375?utm_campaign=VRBO_TRV_INQ_HASC_replied_PPS&amp;utm_content=propthumb_image_o_lprop&amp;utm_term=20150513&amp;utm_source=SYS&amp;utm_medium=email\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">VRBO<\/a> &#8211; Since we had a large group, the girls secured a <a href=\"http:\/\/www.vrbo.com\/205375?utm_campaign=VRBO_TRV_INQ_HASC_replied_PPS&amp;utm_content=propthumb_image_o_lprop&amp;utm_term=20150513&amp;utm_source=SYS&amp;utm_medium=email\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">great VRBO house<\/a> for us. It was the perfect fit. We had a full kitchen, so breakfast could happen at home. Our particular spot had a shaded deck, so we spent one afternoon eating cheese and crackers and drinking some wine, while learning how to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=vjW8wmF5VWc\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">nae nae<\/a>.
