This chorizo spiked cream corn is a great example of that. Can I say it has a great personality? Because, it does.<\/p>\n<p>Smoky chorizo adds a light spice to seriously decadent corn (cream cheese and butter). This is exactly the sort of over-indulgent side you&#8217;d expect on Thanksgiving. It can be made on the stove or in the crockpot. But, please note wearing\u00a0elastic waist pants before\u00a0eating this is a good idea.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/farm1.staticflickr.com\/725\/22422512863_8c09ed14a2_o.jpg\" alt=\"close-up-corn\" width=\"1000\" height=\"881\" \/><\/p>\n<p><em>Want to recreate the entire, Spanish inspired meal?<\/em> <a href=\"http:\/\/www.missalaneyus.com\/wordpress4\/2015\/11\/03\/thanksgiving-series\/\">Here, you\u2019ll find the game plan for the day.<\/a><\/p>\n<p><strong>Chorizo Spiked Cream Corn<\/strong><br \/>\n<em>Serves 4<\/em><\/p>\n<p>1, 16 oz bag frozen white corn<br \/>\n1\/4 c. unsalted butter<br \/>\n6 oz. cream cheese<br \/>\n1 tsp. sugar<br \/>\n1 tbsp. milk<br \/>\n1 tbsp. sherry vinegar<br \/>\n1\/3 c. dried chorizo, cubed<\/p>\n<p><em>On the stovetop:<\/em><br \/>\nMelt the butter over medium heat. Then, add the chorizo. After a minute or two, add the cream cheese, corn, milk, sugar and sherry vinegar. Stir often, working the cream cheese into the mixture. It should melt to form a rich sauce with the butter. Once combined, let warm for 30 minutes to an hour to help the flavors combine. Then, taste and add salt and pepper to your liking.<\/p>\n<p><em>In the crockpot:<\/em><br \/>\nPut all the ingredients into a crockpot. Cook on low for about 4 hours.
