It is one of my favorite activities to do as a family. We can&#8217;t make it every year, but when we do, it&#8217;s <a href=\"http:\/\/www.missalaneyus.com\/wordpress4\/2014\/10\/explore-cider-hill-family-orchard\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">always delightful<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.missalaneyus.com\/wordpress4\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/11\/santa-barbara.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-6841\" src=\"http:\/\/www.missalaneyus.com\/wordpress4\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/11\/santa-barbara.jpg\" alt=\"santa barbara\" width=\"700\" height=\"800\" srcset=\"http:\/\/www.missalaneyus.com\/wordpress4\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/11\/santa-barbara.jpg 700w, http:\/\/www.missalaneyus.com\/wordpress4\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/11\/santa-barbara-263x300.jpg 263w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 700px) 100vw, 700px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>In late September, I went with Keegan on a work trip to Santa Barbara. It was my first time there, and I fell in love. If you haven&#8217;t been, I can&#8217;t recommend it enough. The buildings are all white stucco with tiled roofs. This photo was taken from the tower of their historic courthouse.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.missalaneyus.com\/wordpress4\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/11\/ballet.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-6842\" src=\"http:\/\/www.missalaneyus.com\/wordpress4\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/11\/ballet.jpg\" alt=\"kauffman ballet\" width=\"700\" height=\"933\" srcset=\"http:\/\/www.missalaneyus.com\/wordpress4\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/11\/ballet.jpg 700w, http:\/\/www.missalaneyus.com\/wordpress4\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/11\/ballet-225x300.jpg 225w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 700px) 100vw, 700px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>We took Ellie to the ballet in October for the first time. We saw <a href=\"https:\/\/www.kcballet.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">The Wizard of Oz at the Kauffman Center.<\/a>\u00a0As you can see, we really leaned into the fanciness of the event.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.missalaneyus.com\/wordpress4\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/11\/santa-fe.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-6848\" src=\"http:\/\/www.missalaneyus.com\/wordpress4\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/11\/santa-fe.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"700\" height=\"425\" srcset=\"http:\/\/www.missalaneyus.com\/wordpress4\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/11\/santa-fe.jpg 700w, http:\/\/www.missalaneyus.com\/wordpress4\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/11\/santa-fe-300x182.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 700px) 100vw, 700px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>This photo was taken on a recent girls&#8217; trip to Santa Fe. On this particular night, we had a private chef cook us miniature tacos, sous vide steak and a million other perfect little bites at our Air BnB. The picture is really grainy &#8211; but you can see all of our faces &#8211; which was more important to me.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.missalaneyus.com\/wordpress4\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/11\/soccer.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-6844\" src=\"http:\/\/www.missalaneyus.com\/wordpress4\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/11\/soccer.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"700\" height=\"473\" srcset=\"http:\/\/www.missalaneyus.com\/wordpress4\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/11\/soccer.jpg 700w, http:\/\/www.missalaneyus.com\/wordpress4\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/11\/soccer-300x203.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 700px) 100vw, 700px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>For the last several years, Ellie has played soccer. While her teammates have mostly stayed the same, the team name always changes. This time, they were the Dolphins. Here, you can find her shielding her eyes from the sun and showing off her trophy.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.missalaneyus.com\/wordpress4\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/11\/halloween-party.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-6846\" src=\"http:\/\/www.missalaneyus.com\/wordpress4\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/11\/halloween-party.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"700\" height=\"526\" srcset=\"http:\/\/www.missalaneyus.com\/wordpress4\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/11\/halloween-party.jpg 700w, http:\/\/www.missalaneyus.com\/wordpress4\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/11\/halloween-party-300x225.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 700px) 100vw, 700px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>I haven&#8217;t dressed up for Halloween in years, because I am lazy when it comes to costumes. But, this year, all three of us were invited to a costume party.
