Unlike the one for our wedding, it was more important to get the right mix of items, and as a first time mom, I had no idea where to start. So, I turned to my friends\u00a0and family with children\u00a0for advice on which items to get. After three weeks of motherhood, I thought I&#8217;d pass on my favorite picks so far.<\/p>\n<p>1. <a href=\"http:\/\/www.diapers.com\/p\/aden-anais-swaddle-wrap-4-pack-18475\" target=\"_blank\">Aden + Anais\u00a0Swaddle Blankets <\/a>&#8211; They&#8217;re\u00a0light weight and come in adorable prints &#8211;\u00a0the perfect\u00a0choice for summer babies.\u00a0 Be sure to stock up on a bunch. We go through about one a day.<\/p>\n<p>2. <a href=\"http:\/\/www.target.com\/p\/conair-infant-sound-machine-su7\/-\/A-10270548\" target=\"_blank\">A sound machine <\/a>&#8211; This is truly a life saver. Babies love the white noise.<\/p>\n<p>3. <a href=\"http:\/\/www.buybuybaby.com\/regProduct.asp?WRN=-414753101&amp;sku=15010193&amp;\" target=\"_blank\">Burp rags <\/a>and <a href=\"http:\/\/www.target.com\/p\/room-essentials-white-kitchen-bar-mop-towels-4-pk\/-\/A-13710698#?lnk=sc_qi_detaillink\" target=\"_blank\">bar mop towels <\/a>&#8211; If your little bundle of joy is a spitter\u00a0like mine, you&#8217;ll need something heavy-duty like these items. I&#8217;ve also been told cloth diapers work well for this.<\/p>\n<p>4. <a href=\"http:\/\/www.toysrus.com\/product\/index.jsp?productId=3813327\">A diaper pail with baking soda <\/a>&#8211; It helps keep those stinky diapers from smelling up your baby&#8217;s room.<\/p>\n<p>5.
