For many years, I didn&#8217;t believe in resolutions and refused to make any.<\/p>\n<p>Almost three years ago, I made one. I decided to &#8220;be\u00a0bold.&#8221; 2009\u00a0had been a rough year, and I was looking for something new. That\u00a0little resolution had me making big changes and small ones. I started this blog. I went white\u00a0water rafting.\u00a0I\u00a0kept the resolution in the back of my head\u00a0throughout the year and\u00a0pushed myself to move outside of my comfort zone. It was tough, but\u00a02010 was a much better year.<\/p>\n<p>Since then, I&#8217;ve tried to make a few resolutions each year. And while my\u00a0resolutions for 2013 aren&#8217;t as lofty as they were a few years ago,\u00a0I&#8217;ve decided to knock five things off of my &#8220;<a href=\"http:\/\/missalaneyus.com\/life-list\/\" target=\"_blank\">life list<\/a>&#8221; (and lose 10 pounds, but let&#8217;s face it, that one will probably be discarded by next week.)<\/p>\n<p>#7. Make homemade pasta.<\/p>\n<p>#36. Learn how to play blackjack.<\/p>\n<p>#43. Have a seaweed wrap.<\/p>\n<p>#85. Host a champagne brunch.<\/p>\n<p>#99.
